Dr. Serguei Usmanov, Ph.D. E.E.
Dr. Serguei Usmanov, Ph.D. E.E, is the scientist/inventor of this innovative proprietary membrane technology. He is accomplished in the field of synthetic membranes design and manufacturing, and the founder of Filtronex LLC.
Dr. Usmanov was the director of filtration technology at Minntech, where he spearheaded the development of the hemofiltration & hemodialysis product lines that received US patents and FDA approval.
As an optical engineer, Dr. Usmanov provided solutions to problems facing NASA’s space shuttle program.
During his extensive career, Dr. Usmanov was commissioned to, and has constructed, thirteen membrane fabrication facilities around the world.
Most recently, Dr. Usmanov designed, engineered, constructed, and operates the most innovative membrane manufacturing facility in the world, Filtronex USA.
The Acting Chief of the Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), Dr. Matthew J. Arduino, awarded Dr. Usmanov the title of “Outstanding Researcher” for his efforts and achievement in the field of membrane development.

Ed Lambert is a senior vice president at Bridge Bank with more than 30 years of experience in working with technology companies. He has worked with client companies at all stages of life, from early-state startup to IPO. Through his career, his client relationships have covered all aspects of technology, including such iconic companies as Cisco, Sybase, BioMarin, Atmel, CNET, Solar City, Pandora, Tesla, and Trade Desk. Most of these relationships began at the same emerging growth stage as the companies participating in Venture West!
Ed currently serves on several advisory Boards, and is a Chevalier of the order of Knights of St. John of Jerusalem––a charitable organization founded in 1999. He participates in martial arts, enjoys skiing, is a big NASCAR fan, and in between it all is working on a book of poetry.
